A naturally sweet caffeine-free infusion, high in antioxidants and minerals. Exclusively handpicked for us from wild bushes in the scenic Langkloof, Eastern Cape South Africa, it is dried naturally in the sun and special course cut for a full flavour. This is a full-bodied refreshing herbal tea with a spicy aroma and a hint of summer peaches. Similar to its more popular brother Rooibos, Honeybush is more akin to a herbal tea and is much sweeter, ideal to drink as a health tonic or perfect in the evenings.
Organic extra course-cut Honeybush herbal tea, direct from the farm in Humasdorp, Eastern Cape, South Africa
Packed in large 3.5g tea bag pyramids. Each tea bag can be reinfused twice. Best appreciated without adding anything to it but extremely versatile and equally delicious with milk, or dash of honey - make much stronger if you drink with milk. Like Rooibos, Honeybush has no tannins and will never go bitter if left to infuse. This means you can keep on making multiple cups of the same tea leaves
Roasted peaches and hazelnut, with hints of pepper and honey.
Tricky to cultivate, most Honeybush is still gathered wild on steep, south-facing mountain slopes. Because heavy-handed harvesting can kill the shrubs, we source from a farmer who ensures a sustainable way of cutting the wild plants, thus preserving the delicate mountain ecology.
First winning 2 gold stars in the British Great Taste Awards in 2011 (with our original product packaging), and since then consistently voted the best Honeybush tea in its class, we are proud that our tea is now served in some of the world's most recognisable locations, and a very popular fine food gift idea for tea lovers and foodies alike.
