Thank you! We planted 4,743 trees with WeForest and our packaging is 97% plastic free (working to 100%)

Beautiful hand-rolled large leaf rare black tea, produced in micro-batches daily over only a few weeks of the summer. It makes an invigorating cup with an amazing jammy sweetness - with pepper, caramel and almond flavours that linger tantalisingly on the tongue. Nepal tea industry has been slow to develop, but the fantastic, little-known, Darjeeling-style teas from this mythical Himalayan land are starting to make waves at world tea awards.

  • 100% Organic Hand-rolled Black Tea from Eastern Himalayas, Nepal.

Smooth Darjeeling style cup, but distinctly fresher tasting with caramel pepper notes and jammy sweetness. Perfect with breakfast or afternoon tea. Compliments fruit cake and delicious sponge tarts. Best drunk black or with a little milk.

  • Nepal with similar growing conditions to neighbouring Darjeeling grows arguably the best leaf in Nepal. In 1863 Gajraj Singh Thapa, administrator of Ilam, planted Nepal’s first two tea gardens there, with saplings his brother-in-law, the Prime Minister, had been given by the Chinese Emperor.

For decades there was little expansion, partly due to Nepal’s remoteness – lack of roads meant tea exports had to be transported on foot. But today eco-friendly methods and young plantations in their prime producing exceptional quality leaves, mean teas from Nepal are gaining connoisseurs’ attention.

Teas from Nepal, have received global praise in the past ten years. The area’s high altitude, moist climate, mineral-rich soils and young bushes create a delightful brew. The bronze leaves scattered with silver-gold tips, yield a fragrant, Darjeeling-style liquor with a muscatel character. Flavourful with a woody cedar edge, it fills the mouth with layers of fruit jam, almonds and caramel.
