Happy Australia Day! Today is the national holiday of Australia marking the arrival of the first British settlers on the 26th of January 1788. It has become an opportunity for a celebration of all that is great about Australia and being Australian, and most celebrate either by going to an organised event in their community or by meeting up with family and friends.
For all of us cold in the northern hemisphere sipping hot cocoa today, we relish the opportunity of at one day soon enjoying a BBQ and a cold beer (or iced tea!) on the beach with good friends; but will settle for a Fosters with some friends in a local Aussie bar tonight.
You just have to see this lovely video courtesy of the Australia National Tourist Board cheered us up, so cute!
It doesn't get much more Aussie than this... happy #AustraliaDay all! To celebrate we thought we'd share this adorable video of Coco the Eastern Grey kangaroo joey and her carer @timswildlife - who obviously share a very special bond together! Coco was rescued after a rough start to life and is now living happily at the @australianreptilepark in @visitnsw, along with an array of other native Australian animals like wombats, wallabies and koalas.

By the 16th century, it had made its way to the rest of the Middle East, including South India, Persia, Turkey, and Africa. A short while later, and after the benefits of its use was realised, coffee spread to the Balkans, Italy, and finally, to the rest of Europe and America.
