Product: 100% ARABICA Barista Blend ITALIAN COFFEE - Great Taste Award GOLD Winner 2015

Occupation: Coffee enthusiast (and Engineer)

Verdict: Very nice, mild, slight taste of chocolate, light fruity note, really an excellent blend!

I tried a number of variations including the pressure, grinder setup and temperature and recommend.

Espresso, double shot strainer:

  • Grinder: 8.0 (pretty fine)
  • Coffee: 18.00 g - 18.20g
  • Pressure: 8.5 bar
  • Time: 25 sec. (including pre brewing) 
  • Water:  92.0°C (197.6°F)

Espresso, single shot strainer:

  • Grinder: 8.0 (pretty fine)
  • Coffee: 13.40 g - 13.50 g (more sensitive than in double shot strainer)
  • Pressure: 8.5 bar
  • Time: 25 sec. (including pre brewing)
  • Water: 92.0°C (197.6°F)

Latte, double shot strainer:

  • Grinder: 7.5
  • Coffee: 15.70 g - 15.85 g
  • Pressure: 8.5 bar
  • Time: 25 sec. (including pre brewing) 
  • Water:  92.0°C (197.6°F)

I usually receive about 16 ml - 19ml of Coffee, and I know lot of people prefer to obtain more.

The whole equipment setup included:

  • ECM grinder
  • Rocket R58 machine
  • 2 strainers (single shot and double shot)
  • Electronic balance
  • Stopwatch

I would however recommend slight changes according to ones personal taste but found above to work best with this delicious 100% Arabica coffee from Chateau Rouge Fine Foods - London.
